The Saucony Kilkenny XC5 Flat running shoe is finished with a low-profile, highly durable XT-600™ carbon rubber outsole to provide nimble traction.

To Prevent Blister over High Heels

It's safe to say most of us have a love/hate relationships with high heels. We love how they look but hate how uncomfortable they can be. One thing most women forget to do when they buy a pair of heels is break them in. Follow my 5 easy steps and they'll be no painful blisters or achy toes:

  1. Stretch them out... even if you have narrow feet your shoes still need to stretch. Put on a pair of cotton socks (not too thin and not too thick) and slip on your heels. Walk around the house for about 30 minutes a few nights in a row and they should be stretched to perfection.
  1. Slippery little suckers... I've been that girl that puts on a new pair of heels for a night out on the town and because they were brand new the soles hadn't been roughed up yet, and I slipped. And let me tell you, this has happened more than once. To prevent this disastrous embarrassment, I rough the soles with some sand paper or buy non-slick pads that stick to the sole. They're life savers - literally!

Women Plus Size Shoes Trend

Change you mindset - Before we get into the nitty gritty, I want you to understand that 5 inch heels are almost never going to be comfortable.  Even as a younger woman going out dancing, by the end of the night my friends and I had our shoes in hand while walking barefoot to the car.  As an older woman, my feet just want to be comfortable.

Platform Shoes Ideas

Platforms Today:

In the early 2010s a new, unusual shoe trend emerged: the ugly shoe. The trend includes the "flatform," a thick, platform sole that is completely flat and doesn't contain a heel of any kind. Simple shoes like sandals and oxfords are outfitted with a fashion forward platform that offers a boost of height. Though flatforms are in style, they're generally reserved for trendsetters.
